The Calamine concert is a manifesto of queer irreverence, a festive and lighthearted indictment of heteropatriarchy, and an eco-anxious lament in which enthusiasm and cynicism compete with each other. In the face of neoliberal indecency, personal degrowth invites us to dance on the ruins of the world, embrace the intellectual bad faith of populists, and reclaim our status as trash from a perspective of empowerment. The therapeutic tools of choice during his concerts are hysteria and alienation. Calamine is accompanied on stage by his beatmaker Kèthe Magané (guitars and bass), Valérie Lachance-Guillemette (saxophones and vocals) and Arthur Evenard (keyboards).
